At ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Christian School, we understand that finding the right educational environment for your child is a significant decision, and we aim for our enrolment process to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with your family.
Here is our guidance regarding application timelines for our key intake years:
• High School (Year 7):
For Year 7, we typically conduct interviews with applicants two years out from their intended entry. We strongly encourage families to submit their online application form early to ensure we have ample time to review it and invite them for a family interview. We also offer a "start early" programme for students in Years 5 and 6 to help them transition smoothly into Secondary School.
• Early Years (Prep and Kindy):
For families who prioritise faith development, starting in the early years, such as Prep or Kindy, is considered crucial. This period is vital for setting up the foundational building blocks of a child's character and their understanding of God's role in the world. While we accept applications year-round, spaces are limited for Prep and Kindy in particular. Ideally, we suggest applying a year out, although many families get in touch with us a couple of years in advance.
• General Application Information:
â—¦ We accept applications at all times throughout the year.
â—¦ If space is available, we are open to booking interviews closer to the start of the academic year, and we also consider mid-year applications.
â—¦ The application process is the same for both Junior School and Secondary School.
â—¦ As a Christian school, we prioritise Christian families during the application process. Additionally, siblings of current students are also given priority when considering applications.
When you apply, you will need to complete an online application form. This form requires supporting documents, such as previous school reports and birth certificates. A key part of the process is for us to understand your family's reasons for wanting to join our school community, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship.
We also use this stage to understand your child's learning needs, including any areas where they might require learning support, so we can proactively put an Individual Plan (IP) in place if needed. An optional minister/pastor reference form can also be provided by families who attend church regularly, which helps us connect with your faith community.
Our family interview is a pivotal step, typically conducted by our Registrar, Wendy, alongside our Head of Secondary or Head of Junior School, or another executive staff member. This interview is designed for us to "get to know the whole family face to face" and build a "profitable partnership built on honesty".
